Silver Strikers Football Club has mutually agreed to part ways with Head Coach Peter Mgangira with immediate effect.
The decision comes three days after Silver Strikers suffered a 5-0 defeat to FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in the FDH Bank Premiership on 5 September 2026.
The Club announced the decision yesterday, following a review of the team’s first-round performance.
In a statement, Silver Strikers described the exit as amicable and thanked Mgangira for his professionalism and service during his tenure.
Mgangira, a club legend, was appointed in 2025 and guided the team to win the Charity Shield and the FDH Bank Cup.
The Board and Management reaffirmed their commitment to the Club’s sporting objectives, saying new technical arrangements will be put in place to ensure continuity and help the team regain momentum in the second round of the season.
Meanwhile, the club is yet to announce Mgangira’s successor.
Silver Strikers sit 3rd on the FDH Bank Premiership table with 29 points from 15 matches, one point behind leaders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
