MALAWIAN REFEREES SET TO SHINE IN FIFA UNDER 20 WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS

Happiness Mbandambanda, Benadettor Kwimbira, Enerst Gumbo, and Mercy Kayira have been handpicked by FIFA to officiate the highly anticipated Under 20 World Qualifiers match between Uganda and Mozambique, scheduled for October 23, 2023.

Mercy Kayira, fresh from her recent assignment officiating the women’s African qualifiers match between Kenya and Cameroon, has landed in South Africa with an impressive track record. Her exceptional skills have earned her the privilege of officiating games in the prestigious COSAFA tournament in South Africa, underlining her rising status in the world of refereeing.

Meanwhile, Mercy, along with her esteemed colleagues, is gearing up for their next FIFA assignment in Uganda. Their departure is scheduled for October 12, 2023, and this quartet of referees from Malawi is ready to make their mark on the international stage.
