LEAGUE GLORY FOR MOYALE SISTERS

Moyale Sisters have been crowned champions of the 2024 Northern Region Goshen FAM Women’s Football League after successfully defending their title. They sealed their victory with a 2-1 win over MK Academy in a formality match played on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Botanic Ground.

The defending champions displayed dominance throughout the season, accumulating 49 points from 18 matches. Their closest rivals, MK Academy, finished six points behind with 43 points, despite playing the same number of games. Moyale Sisters’ consistent performances set them apart as the strongest team in the league.

Speaking after the match, Moyale Sisters’ coach, John Chimwala, commended his players for retaining the title. He acknowledged the stiff competition during the 2024 season, noting that the league was more challenging than before. Chimwala also highlighted the absence of some key players who missed several games due to school commitments.

As Moyale Sisters prepare to represent the Northern Region at the national level, Chimwala expressed optimism about their chances. He emphasized the importance of hard work and discipline, stating that his team aims to reach the semifinals in the upcoming national competition.

For their outstanding performance, Moyale Sisters will walk away with a K4 million prize, a well-deserved reward for their efforts in dominating the league. The team’s success is a testament to their dedication and resilience throughout the season.

With back-to-back championships, Moyale Sisters have solidified their reputation as one of the strongest women’s football teams in the Northern Region, inspiring other teams and young players to aim for excellence.
