Big Bullets humbled by Tanzanian Lions at home ground.

It was an amazing Saturday on 10th of September at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe, Malawi. As the Tanzanian Simba SC team deposited 2 goals into CAF Champions league assignment.

On a bad note, the Bullets suffered an early goal from Moses Phiri who connected from a free kick at 29 minutes from Kick off following with an extended defeat from John Bosco at the 80th minute making it a total defeat on regulation time for the Malawl’s Tnm super league leaders.

From the first whistle, the Lions seemed organised in-terms of consistence in ball possession and tactics.

Pressured,  Bullets mentor Kalisto Pasuwa had to make some changes by substituting Patrick Mwangulu and Lanjesi Nkhoma for Hassan Kajoke and MacPhalen M’gwira respectively.

The changes stabilised Pasuwa’s charges who started coming wave after wave in the visitors half but their efforts proved futile as the Lions were very alert in defence; putting the hosts in proper check.

The mouthwatering continental showpiece lived its billing in the second half as the  two sides displayed stellar performances having made a number of substitutions.

But it was the visitors who were on top of the game in terms of their classic tactics and more ball possession.

This result gives Bullets a huge daunting task as they travel to Dar es Salaam next week for a return leg at Benjamin William Mkapa’s Stadium in Tanzania.

The  winner between the two, will face either Red Arrows of Zambia or Premiro De Agotso of Angola.
