Season eight of the Airtel Top 8 Zamadolo kicks off this afternoon at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre, where defending champions FCB Nyasa Bullets will face Creck Sporting in the first leg of the quarter-finals.
As the premier football tournament returns, Airtel Malawi is promising an unforgettable experience for fans. Head of Brand and Public Relations, Norah Chavula Chirwa, says they are set to elevate fan engagement through a variety of exciting activities and giveaways at the stadium.
“Fans who arrive early at Kamuzu Stadium today will receive Top 8 T-shirts,” she reveals. “Additional engagement activities will include chances to win various Top 8 merchandise prizes, ensuring that supporters enjoy a season to remember.”

Chavula Chirwa emphasizes that the Airtel Top 8 is not just about football, but also about celebrating talent, passion, and unity. “It is a celebration of talent, passion, and the unifying spirit of football. We are excited to kickstart this remarkable competition and continue amplifying fan engagement through unique activities and rewards.”
This season also comes with increased stakes. The champions will walk away with K35 million, up from last season’s K30 million. runners-up will pocket K12 million, an increase from K10 million, while each participating team will receive K3 million, K500,000 more than last year.
Individual players also have greater incentive to perform, with the Man-of-the-Match award rising from K100,000 to K115,000 per game..
