Visionaire of Goshen Trust Dr. Shepherd Bushiri has Wednesday afternoon signed a Telecommunication deal with Telecom Network Malawi-TNM where the latter will be providing network services to Goshen City in Monkey-bay, Mangochi.
TNM plc Chief Executive Officer Arnold Mbwana says the agreement will see his company introducing tailor made telecommunications products and services for the state of the art city.
He adds the signing of the deal underscores the company’s commitment towards supporting the implementation of sustainable development in the country.
Mbwana further reveals the company will introduce special Goshen package to be used for the city.
“The packages come with different local and international calling minutes, data and unlimited SMS offers for customers to choose from. Customers will be required to subscribe into the packages and purchase the special rate via USSD short code * 202 # then option 7,” explains Mbwana.
In his remarks, Prophet Bushiri says he is delighted with the MOU; adding this demonstrates the confidence TNM has in his multi-billion kwacha flagship project currently under construction.
“It is always satisfying to see local companies working for the sake of sustainable development in the country. We firmly believe that through this partnership a landmark has been reached that will make a significant difference,” says Bushiri.
Recently, Bushiri said the phase of the project would end in December this year at a cost of 50 million dollars.
Already, the project is providing jobs to 4000 people and targets 100 thousand jobs in the next three years of the project development.
The facility will have hotels, an international airport, a stadium, shopping malls, a 5000 capacity conference hall, a hospital, a high school and a university among others.

- TNM to provide Goshen rate Sim Cards. Customers will be required to subscribe into the packages and purchase the special rate via USSD.
- TNM to provide call centre services to enable organization intensify their capabilities in listening to their customers’ needs and implement effective strategies to meet them.
- TNM to facilitate establishment of zero-rated calls to the Goshen Trust call center for subscribers of the Goshen rate plan.
