The Nocma board which appointed deputy CEO Hellen Buluma as acting CEO with Dingiswayo Sambo as acting DoF has since today, 25 November 2020 revisited it’s decision.
Nocma Limited is wholly-owned by the Government of Malawi and was formed in line with the National Energy Policy of January 2003, but was registered on December 14 2010 under the Companies Act of 1984.
The strategic company is involved in fuel importation, storage at strategic fuel reserves and distribution nationwide. It is complemented by Petroleum Importers Limited, a consortium of private sector petroleum trading companies

Buluma who was once believed to be a Democratic Progressive Party sympathiser aka cadet, was the deputy of Chief Executive on NOcMA from 2019- 2020.
Avantmalawi has learnt that Buluma who happens to be a vibrant woman has today (25 November 2020) been removed from her position after a board of directors resolution passed it’s jurisdiction that she should no longer be the acting CEO hence forth.
Avantmalawi has also learnt that the board is chaired by the secretary to the President and cabinet (SPC) Zangazanga Chikhosi. Who endorsed the decision Following what he believes to be an uproar accross concerned Malawians, the President Rev Dr Chakwera inclusive.
On a contrary note Buluma has retaliated by making some serious allegations that senior and powerful officials from Tonse Government approached her and instructed her office to award an oil supply deal to certain foreign and local companies with fuel worth billions of kwachas but unfortunately she declined them.

She is confidently testifying to have recorded all the conversations. And currently she has submitted them to Anti-corruption Bureau and the office of the president.
In her submission top gurus of the Tonse alliance mainly ministers are believed to have a hand in her removal from NOcMA.
Meanwhile, avantmalawi gathers unconfirmed reports that the Head of state (Dr Lazarus McCathy Chakwera) is unhappy with the unpleasant reports.
On a tip Buluma disclosed that the government officials include some ministers, presidential advisor among others wanted to benefit over the bogus deal. Upon her refusal the war began till today.
“If these lazy men continue putting dirty on my name regarding me as a cadet without telling the nation the naked truth I will expose them by releasing the audios for public consumption” Buluma was quoted.
