High Court Assistant Registrar Anthony Kapaswiche has dismissed former President Peter Mutharika’s application for costs review.
Mutharika and former government Chief Secretary Lloyd Muhara applied to have their costs charges in the “Chief Justice’s case” reviewed.
But Kapaswiche has dismissed the application with costs.
Mutharika and Muhara have since been given 30 days to pay k2.250 million costs.
Mutharika and Muhara were found guilty after they had tried to send Chief Justice Andrew Nyirenda and Justice of Appeal Edward Twea on leave pending their retirement.
They were ordered to pay 69.5 million kwacha costs, though they paid, Mutharika and Muhara took the matter to court again for review of the costs they were charged.
