Likoma Motorcycle Association has penned their District Commissioner (DC) due to some law enforcers misconduct in handling the Highway Code.
According to a letter issued by the Association, which avantmalawi has accessed, there are a number of anomalies being practiced by the district’s road traffic control officers and Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) officials.
Corruption and abuse of office are some of the malpractices the above mentioned officers are practicing.
Confirmed reports indicate that when a cyclist is fined and asked to pay a fee of K70,000 cash, only K40,000 or K30,000 is being recorded on a receipt.
Lately, many demonstrations are taking place due to public officers misconduct.
