The long awaited smile shadowed the face of Gift Phiri, as his dream begun to materialize.
Gift Phiri nine years dropped out of school a year back, now he returns to MchengaUtuwa Primary school II, with much love the Teacher’s welcomed him and got enrolled in Standard 5.
In the attached pictures, Gift was captured in his well fitted school Uniform by Avant reporters during break time. No one could deny, except being talented in Mbaula making, Gift is also handsome, intelligent and quite. Our reporter, vinjeru Ngwira has been following the story of Gift whom was given K128,000 days ago from well Wishers.
The young boy says, “I decided to return to school and retire from Mbaula making, as for now my grandma will be the one to support the family with the money given to us though I believe this is just a beginning Malawians won’t let me and my family down, I promise to work extra hard at school so that I also extend my helping hand to needy students in near future as others have done and are doing to me. Leading life from a side of a poor family is indeed a struggle. Malawians have made me gradually gratuate form a father of the house at 9 years of age back to a student I say thank you” Gift added with tears in his eyes.
