There was commotion in Kasungu, where almost three houses and property have been demolished leaving some people injured in the process.
Avantmalawi has learnt with great shock that Sheikh Ibrahim Mponda of Chimbuna Mosque in Chitete, Kasungu met his fate after some faction demanded his replacement for dictatorship allegations during his reign as a sheikh at Chimbuna Masjid.
Reports avantmalawi has gathered so far Indicates there was a fight between the two sides, one of the two groups was standing grounds with Mponda while the other one was against him, their differences lead into commotion and fight.
Police officers were deployed to bring back the public order but proved futile up to the extend that teargas canisters were used to disperse the disagreed parties in an attempt to stop the fight.
The quarrel took almost 2 hours leaving a number of people injured in the process.
