Bullets, Wanderers stadia projects not in the budget.

In parliament today, opposition members of parliament pinned ministry of finance to justify budget increment to ministry of sports from 7.3 billion to 8.4 billion kwacha.

This means that the budget allocation has been increased with about 1.4 billion kwacha.

Ben Phiri, Thyolo Central Legislator questioned the ministry of Finance on whether the increment has included constructions of the most anticipated Nyasa Big Bullets and Wanderers stadia.

In his response, Minister of Finance Felix Mulusu said increment will not consider the continuation of the construction of stadiums for Nyasa Big Bullets and Wanderers.

Mlusu was however quick to say that considerations will be made in the next fiscal year.

Meanwhile, the house has passed the vote.

Earlier last year, Minister of Youth and Sports Ulemu Msungama said the Tonse Alliance administration cannot prioritise stadia projects because they were not on its agenda.
