Schools’ opening dates remain as announced by the Ministry of Education

The Presidential Task Force made resolution to
1. Close our land boarders for two weeks (14 days) starting from 23 December
2020, except for
a. Essential goods transporters
b. Deportees
C. Those in special circumstances

II. Only allow gatherings of up to a maximum of 100 people during the 14 days.

Things you should know in view of the latest COVID-19 restrictions
• Malawians and residents can return to Malawi upon production of an original
certified valid COVID-19 negative test result

• Malawians and residents can travel out

• All foreigners cannot travel to Malawi through land borders

• Essential service providers should get clearance from the PTF

All activities that involve audience like music shows, sports, arts, and religious
gatherings are restricted up to 100 people who must wear face musks.

All public attendances are restricted to 100 people who must wear face masks.

Venue owners are asked to comply with this restriction and must ensure that only up to 100 people are at venue functions. Venues shall include but limited to the following: hotels, lodges, ceremony gardens or parks,
