Manchester United fans are calling for Paul Pogba to be dropped from the team ahead of their crucial Champions League clash with RB Leipzig.
The outrage online has been fuelled by Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola, after he claimed the Frenchman’s time at Old Trafford was done, as he told Tuttosport: ‘I can say that it’s over for Paul Pogba at Manchester United.’
Pogba’s future has been the subject of much speculation for months – but now some fans are fed up of the antics surrounding his future and would rather manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer drop the £89million midfielder.
Former England striker Gary Lineker tweeted in response to Raiola’s comments: ‘Not quite over. There’s a pretty big game to play tomorrow for starters. You’d think he might bear that in mind.’
However, one fan doesn’t want to see Pogba play in their European do-or-die match with Leipzig, as they tweeted: ‘Hopefully we won’t see Paul Pogba in a Manchester United shirt ever again. Pogba to the reserves – Here we go!’
Raiola’s poorly timed comments have added even more pressure onto Solskjaer, as another fan said he would look ‘weak’ if he picked him to play. ‘Pogba should not play tomorrow after this. If Ole picks him it’s weak’
The majority of Manchester United fans have agreed the 27-year-old must now recieve the cold shoulder from the manager and club, as another tweeted: ‘A lot of people may disagree with me here but… If I was OGS right now I would be sending Paul Pogba on the first flight back to Manchester and exclude him from tomorrow’s match day squad.
