Embangweni United FC will be looking to bounce back from their 4-2 away defeat to Namitete Zitha when they host Changalume Barracks in the NBS Bank National Division League this weekend.
Embangweni coach Dan Lusale attributed the loss to a lack of concentration, saying the team was punished in a tricky away fixture despite the game being within their reach.
“This game wasn’t tough for the boys to lose. We simply lacked concentration. We know away fixtures can be tricky, but our boys should have maintained their focus,” said Lusale.
Ahead of Saturday’s encounter, Lusale is confident his charges can collect maximum points against Changalume, having beaten the soldiers away from home in the first round.
“We managed to collect maximum points away in the first round, so we believe we can do the same at home,” he added.
Embangweni United currently occupy fourth position on the NBS Bank National Division League table with 20 points from 12 matches. They will be aiming to strengthen their position in the upper half of the table with another positive result.
Their opponents, Changalume Barracks, are at the foot of the table with just four points from 12 matches and are still searching for their first victory of the campaign. The two sides will meet on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Mzuzu Stadium.
