The FAM Women’s Northern Region Football League fixture between Rumphi KK and Luwinga Inclusive Academy did not take place.
The encounter, scheduled for Saturday, 7 February 2026 at Chirambo Ground, was called off after it was determined that the pitch conditions were not fully suitable for competitive women’s football.
Following a thorough inspection, Luwinga Inclusive Academy FIFA Talent coach Abdul Musawir prioritized the welfare of his players.

Musawir noted that the playing surface was not in ideal condition to allow the girls to perform at their best and safely at a competitive level.
“I am guided by the vision of our programme FIND TRAIN PLAY Framework and our safeguarding plan. The protection of the girls comes first, and that is why we could not proceed with the game,” said Musawir.
The coach reaffirmed that developing young talent requires the right environment, where players can grow with confidence and security. He emphasized that Luwinga Inclusive Academy remains committed to long-term development.
Musawir also expressed satisfaction with his team’s performances this season, praising the commitment of his players and the continued support the team receives.

Luwinga Inclusive Academy currently sit on 25 points from nine matches in the FAM Women’s Northern Region Football League, underlining their strong form and steady push at the top end of the table.
