Silver strikers head coach Peter de Jongh says he is not concerned with the long standing losing history the Central Bankers have over cross town rivals Blue Eagles FC as the 2 sides clash in a Tnm Super league match on Saturday afternoon at Nankhaka Stadium.
The Central Bankers lost both home and away league ties to the area 30 side with a 1-0 margin last season.
Addressing the Press in Lilongwe on Thursday ahead of the clash, de Jongh said he is only looking forward to the future and will not focus on past results.

“I understand we lost both games against them last season but that is not something that will pull me or the team back. We are focused on the game on Saturday and don’t expect anything than a win. We are going to take the game to them at their own backyard”, he said.
The gaffer added that the team has recovered from last weekend’s 1-1 against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
“Last weekend the team was in good form and in high spirits therefore I feel we can continue from there. We have a belief that we can win every game if we keep having the right mentality,” he added.
Commenting on his last weekend’s conduct which saw him earn a yellow card on his first official match in charge, de Jongh said he has no problems with referees but only expects fair play from them.

“I don’t have a problem with referees or whatsoever, i am only expecting them to be on top of their game and be fair”, said de Jongh.
The Bankers will be aiming to collect maximum points in their second game of the season as they had to come from behind to force a 1-1 draw against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets on the opening weekend of the 2023 season.
