Lives of two children with walking difficulties in Senior Chief Ngabu, Chikwawa will no longer be the same following a donation of two wheelchairs to lessen their mobility problems.
A Chikwawa based organization established in 2011, Pashello Charitable Trust has made the donation including 30 blankets and assorted items to 500 people, all valued at K1.5 million.
Executive Director for the organization, Fellia Malora says they observed that the kids were struggling to walk hence their intervention.
One of the beneficiaries, 14 year old Mafilipa Binzi from Santu Village, describes the help as very timely.
“I was just staying around at our compound, as I was unable to move since I’m paralyzed. But I will even be able to watch football,” says Mafilipa.
Besides the wheelchairs, the organization has also donated other items including salt, soap and plastic black sheets to villages surrounding Senior Chief Ngabu.
Again, the organization had a luncheon with at least 1200 people comprising the elderly, orphans and those with disabilities.
