Mayamiko Stars FC is the first team to book their place in Nyasa Capital Finance Cup final after beating Embangweni United FC 3 – 1.
The match took place at Rumphi Stadium on Saturday December 11, 2022.
Mayamiko Stars FC was the first team to score, 15th minutes of the first half through Davie Tobias before Emmanuel Shumba gave Embangweni United FC an equalizer goal on 54th minute of the second half.
Former Ekwendeni Hammers FC hitman Clever Kaira who now plays for Mayamiko Stars FC made his team to lead after Embangweni United FC defenders failed to clear the ball.
The second goal of Mayamiko Stars FC came on 76th minute of the second half of the game.
Frank Chinula extended the lead for Mayamiko on 84th minute of the game when he scored a third goal for the stars
It was not easy for Mayamiko Stars FC to contain pressure from the opposite side when it conceded a goal during additional minutes of the game that came after poor communication from their defenders, Emmanuel Banda of Embangweni United FC was the scorer of the second goal for Embangweni United FC
Lyson Tebulo who was the center referee of the game blew the whistle on 94th minute to sperate the loser from the winner.
The game ended up with 3 – 2 favouring Mayamiko Stars FC.
Mayamiko Stars FC have booked their place of Nyasa Capital Finance Cup finals and now awaiting the winner between Kadona Stars FC and Chitipa United FC, the game that will be played on the same venue (Rumphi Stadium) on Sunday December 11, 2022.
