BABATUNDE SHINES AS BULLETS OPEN 10-POINT LEAD

Nyasa Big Bullets has opened a 10 point lead on the TNM Super League log table following their 5 -1 thrashing of Sable Farming at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on Wednesday.

Babatunde Adepoje scored four goals and Thomson Magombo netted the other while Michael Tetteh had a consolation goal for the hosts.

Bullets tactician, Calisto Pasuwa Coach, who rested most of his key players, said they played poorly in the first half due to confusion but changed in the second half after introducing fresh legs.

His counterpart, McDonald Mtetemera was shocked with the results; saying they had done in vain extensive hard work in training.

Nevertheless, Mtetemera insists the team is not getting relegated.

Meanwhile, Kamuzu Barracks has now moved second after defeating Blue Eagles 1-0; courtesy of Olson Kanjira who scored on the 74th minute at Champion Stadium in Mponela, Dowa.

KB’s Assistant Coach Blessings Kawanga expressed satisfaction with the win.

“It was not a simple game. This was one of the toughest encounters. We thank God for the victory,” Kawanga said.

And Eagles CoachElia Kananji said the defeat was inevitable; arguing they made a lot of costly errors which need fixing in the remaining games.

Said Kananji: “We have lost the game and we are wishing them well. When we go back home, we will solve the mistakes and to maintain a top 2 finish in the league since therw are only 5 remaining games.”

This means Bullets now has 61 points on top, seconded by Kamuzu Barracks with 51 points with Blue Eagles on third with 50 points.

The bottom three has Rumphi United, TN Stars and Sable Farming.
