Motorbkike operators (Kabaza) in Dowa today matched to police demanding the release of their motorcycles which have been confiscated by the law enforcers.
It is said that Traffic Police officers have confiscated unregistered motorcycles for about 7 people at Dowa Boma over various cases.
But today, the operators teamed up in demanding police to release the bikes because police have not provided reasons for the confiscation.
One of the operators, Lobodo Harrison, said the concerned operators have not been able to earn a living due to the situation.
However, Gladson M’bumpha spokesperson for Dowa Police says the motorbike were legally confiscated and that it came as a way of reducing accidents in the district because most operators do not have proper papers. you
