There was awe in Maganga Village Traditional Authority Maganga as World Hope Corps Malawi went hand in hand with Miracle foundation to supply food stuffs.
World hope (WHC) is one of Non governmental organisations in Malawi that supports Malawians with different needs in their daily lives.
As one way of making sure Malawians are benefiting from the organization, on 12th March 2022 WHC in conjuction with Miracle foundation made their way to Salima to cheer flood survivors with food stuffs following their displacement from cyclone Dumaku floods.
Our reporters had some time talking to Mrs Asiyatu Chakwera who is the councillor for the area. In her words she requested the duo Non governmental organisations to assist in maintaining the hospital in the area which its was blown off by the heavy cyclone.

“Our people are suffering from the impact of tropical Dumako as they currently have no food to survive, and their shelters were also destroyed. We call upon well wishers to come to their rescue. ” she said
Chief Maganga concured with the councillor adding that the assistance has come in good time when most of the homes in the area are in jeopardy.
Mr Steven Chinsendenji the Director for Miracle foundation encouraged Maganga residents to rise from depression as life continues with more opportunities despite the floods and loss of shelters.

After the occasion avantmalawi followed the Director of world Hopecoros malawi Mr Dennis Singini who ushered the group inspecting the hospital which is in the area but needs renovation. Mr Dennis Singini noted that the hospital was built in 1986 but has its roof, doors,windows toilets and bathrooms damaged.

After inspecting all the rooms Mr singini said that their organisation will see what they can do to assist the people from maganga village. He said its the wish of his organization to get hospital renovated as soon as they get funds to do so.
“Yes, water is a problem, toilets are dirty and patient hygiene is compromised. We therefore call upon all well wishers to assist us in the process to renovate this hospital. ” said Mr singini.
