Mangochi Police Station would like to inform the public that the two persons who died in a head-on collision at Mpima Forest in Mangochi on Good Friday night have now been identified by their relatives.
They have been identified as Christina Jonas, 26, from Kampande Village and Emmanuel Shabani, 52 from Chilombo Village Traditional Authority Nankumba in Mangochi.
Additionally, two out of five passengers from motor vehicle registration number BZ 4264 Toyota Sienta identified as Grecious Kaumphawi, 52 and Precious Chitera, 20 both from Poya Village, Traditional Authority Mpama in Chiladzulu have also died today while receiving treatment at Mangochi District Hospital.
Bodies of all the deceased have been identified and taken for burial by relatives.
The relatives made a follow up on the matter when they got the message through radio stations and contacted the Police.
Meanwhile the Station wishes to thank all media houses for their support by conveying the message to the public.
