Avantmalawi gathers that the Local Government officials have temporarily suspended District Director of public works, Isaac Mdindo and the Director of procurement, MacDonald Mhango.
The development comes days after Councillors sealed offices of the two officers in question on Tuesday. Today their has been a closed meeting since lunch time between Local Government officials and Chikwawa District officials
Reports indicates, it is believed the two Officers have not been accountable in managing the District Development funds (DDF) and Constituency Development funds (CDF) for Chikwawa District.
Chikwawa District officials are of the view that the two remain on suspension until they are cleared off from the allegations on mismanagement of funds.
However, all the Councillors have agreed to see to it that the two officers are transfered to another District.
