In an interview with the secretary for the trading point James Subili, said the expansion of the roads is essential that is the reason vendors have agreed to relocate to a place along Chilambula Road as a temporary place as LCC is in search of a permanent place.

In her remarks, Lilongwe City Council Public Relations Officer, Tamara Chafunya said just last year, the council started working on infrastructure development projects, including roads across the city.
She further said “we are rehabilitating various roads in Lilongwe City through government funding as well as UNDP,” She said, the relocation of curios market was well communicated to traders as such City assembly will consider finding a permanent place for the vendors.
