Hip Hope artist Tay Grin real name Limbani Kalirani has been caught pants down cheating Malawians that he has appeared on a Billboard at Times Square in New York while in real sense he used an application to create that scene.

On July 7 Tay Grin wrote on his Facebook page that “Joseph and his grandson making history for our nation. First Malawians to ever appear on a billboard in Times Square, New York City USA.”

This prompted many Malawians to congratulate Tay Grin for representing the country well abroad.

But it has been exposed that this is not a true reflexion on the ground as Janta has also released a video showing him being inserted on the billboard at Times Square.

On the other hand pictures of Joe Gwaladi and other artists have also trended on social media showing their faces on billboards in New York City.

According to Nyanja Online Investigation a single billboard at Times Square per year costs between 1.1 million dollars and 1.5 million dollars per year which is over 1 billion Malawi Kwacha.

As it stands it is not clear on how many Malawian artists will appear on billboards at Times Square in New York City USA this year using the said application.
