Kawale Station Officer (SO), Supritendent Chrispine Zintambila urged residents of Kawale to denounce acts of suicide, mob justice and defilement.
Kawale Station Officer (SO), Supritendent Chrispine Zintambila made the proclamation during a whistle stop tour that the Station organized on November 25,2022.
The journey started around 17:00 hours and ended around 22:00 hours, was done tactically to ensure effective message delivery to residents in the comfort of their homes after their usual businesses.
Trading centers , residential areas of Biwi, Area 23, 24, Chiuzila and Myaya side were some of the places visited.
A holistic approach was taken to all age groups, men and women were all addressed with the remedies to overcome stressful situations that forces many to take their own lives.
Residents were also warned against defilement cases, murder, mob justice and further advised to seek the acceptable ways of attaining justice whenever the law has been broken.
The community policing coordinator, Inspector Mayeso Chikadza assured residents that police is always ready to assist anyone facing security problems.On GBV, Chikadza noted that police doors are open to render support through the Victim Support Unit (VSU) saying people should be free to report.
The initiative comes few days after the law enforcers also held a series of meetings with religious leaders, block leaders and chiefs on the same issues.
