VUWA KAUNDA RECLAIMS HIS PARLIAMENTARY SIT

The saying that one man is not an island has been proven to be wrong as unofficial results in Nkhata-bay Central Constituency have shown that Symon Vuwa Kaunda of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has emerged victorious against the 9 party Tonse led administration.

Kaunda is the man of the moment as he has punched the government on the face, this is according to unofficial results which our reporters on the ground has seen.

According to the unofficial results, Ralph Mhone of People’s Party has scooped 5163 votes while the pending winner Symon Vuwa Kaunda of DPP has carried the day with 5426 votes.

Vuwa earlier told Nyanja Online that he was optimistic that the voters will choose him as they did in 2019 and this has been cemented by the outcome.

The duo had a difference of about 9 votes in 2019 parliamentary election which was marred by the infamous fluid Tippex.

This was a litmus test for Tonse Alliance on what the masses on the ground think about them and it has vividly shown that the ground is becoming too sleepy for them (Pa group pa Tonse Paterera).

Nkhata-bay Central had 17684 registered voters.

MEC chairperson Justice Dr Chifundo Kachale is expected to make official announcement of the results in the coming hours.
