Parliament of Malawi convened yesterday with a dismal virtual meeting side by side with the traditional meeting with less legislators in the chamber as per COVID-19 requirement.
It was disheartening and embarrassing to the citizens to see the so called ZOOM MEETING crumpling amid talks.
*Mindset Change* is the Tonse government’s most sacred and talked policy. Yes, on paper but if the only institution entrusted with powers to provide a platform for legislators to debate, discuss and make laws can’t operate, isn’t it a mere rhetoric?
Change must begin at the August House. Our Parliament is the only legal framer of policies and laws.
