The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has expelled several key members, including former Vice President Kondwani Nankhumwa and former Secretary General Grelzeder Jeffrey. The decision was announced by DPP spokesperson Shadric Namalomba, following the Central Committee’s meeting today.

The expulsion extends to Cecelia Chazama, Nicholas Harry Dausi, Mark Botomani, Otria Jere, Fortunate Simeon Phiri, Fredrick Billy Malata, Joe Thomas Nyirongo, and Kenneth Chatatata Msonda, NGC Member (North).

Their dismissal results from their involvement in the December 6, 2023, national governing council (NGC) meeting in Lilongwe, as confirmed by the party’s disciplinary committee.
