Police in Mangochi has expressed profound gratitude to various corporate institutions, businesses , and community groups for donating a total of 560 litres of diesel, a contribution that greatly supported police operations during the just-ended festive season.
Police have acknowledged the donation as a key factor that contributed to the district recording zero serious crime and zero road traffic accidents during the festive period. Despite unfavourable weather conditions, the officers remained dedicated to duty.
The fuel was donated by Chibuku Products Limited, National Bank of Malawi, Papas Shop, FINCA, the Burundian Community, Total, Mankhwala PUMA and Soko Mount Meru Filling Stations, as part of corporate social responsibility and community support initiatives.

The donation enhanced police mobility and enabled officers, working jointly with Community Policing Forum (CPF) members, to conduct intensified day and night patrols, snap roadblocks, road safety enforcement, and crime prevention activities across the district.
Mangochi Police further commended Community Policing Forum members for their active participation in joint patrols, noting that their involvement strengthened community surveillance, information sharing, and public cooperation.
Police have applauded all donors and community partners for their commitment to public safety, describing the gesture as a true demonstration of partnership in promoting peace and security.

Police in the district is assuring the public that they will put extra gear to their service delivery and have appealed for continued cooperation from all stakeholders and members of the public to ensure a peaceful and safe Mangochi.
