OC Mwamkili pay impromptu visit to Kang’oma Police Unit

The Officer-In-Charge for Kawale Police Station, Mr Devlin Mwamkili Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) has on January 14, 2026 visited Kang’oma Police Unit, one of Kawale’s lower formation where he called upon officers to join the station’s movement of creating crime free zone.

This is one of his familiarization tour that he is conducting in Kawale Policing area with an aim of urging officers in lower formations to align with his vision as the new Officer-In-Charge (OC) for the station.

During his visit, Mr Devlin Mwamkili OC noted some challenges faced by officers at the Unit where he has reaffirmed his committiment in addressing the challenges according to the order of their importance.

At the Unit the OC, Mr Devlin Mwamkili (DCP) had a head on encounter with service seekers, raising hopes of Kang’oma villagers.

In his power, the OC advised the service seekers to follow due protocol of case registration while promising support during the legal process,that includes provision of transport during investigations.

Meeting the Unit NCO, Sub Inspector John Namowa, he highlighted the problems that threatens service delivery while appreciating the support and care from management a sign that despite being deployed in the outskirts but still attached to the station.

Mr Mwamkili (DCP), instantly sorted the electrification challenge and further promised to bring solutions soonest.

Mr Devlin Mwamkili (DCP) was flanked by Superintendent Mike Simika (IBO), and Inspector Mayeso Chikadza Community Policing Coordinator.
