In a bid to strengthen the cordial working relationship existing between Malawi – Mozambique border countries, Ntcheu district administrators today, November 19, 2021 conducted an interactive meeting with fellow counterparts from Angonia District in Mozambique.
The participants comprised security, planning and development, health, education and agriculture sectors from both districts.
In his remarks, Mozambique leader of delegation, District Commissioner Reimundo Broom, thanked the team for organising the meeting as it has promoted the inter border working relationship between the two countries.
On issues of security, Ntcheu Police Officer In-Charge, Assistant Commissioner of Police Julius Munthali, thanked fellow security counterparts for the cordial working relationship existing when it comes to cross border crime related issues.
Munthali further said that meetings of this kind really cement the inter-border working relationship.
Different strategies were also put in place in curbing and managing crime along the borders in the two districts.
A visit to Angonia in Mozambique is scheduled to take place on a date to be communicated.
