Some employees at National Food Reserve Authority (NFRA) have asked the office of the Ombudsman to investigate into alleged unprocedural recruitment of Human Resource and Administration Director, Mac Donald Makondi at the organisation.

The employees confided in avantmalawi that there were also other irregular recruitment of other member of staff and acts of maladministration at NFRA.
“Many top bosses were employed without proper procedures and they were brought here by some DPP top bosses during their tenure, and we want this investigated,” revealed one junior employee.
According to them, NFRA advertised for the post of Human Resource and Administration Director in 2018 and that a Minimum qualification for the post was bachelors degree in Administration or Human Resource management.
But the employees at NFRA dilvuged that Makondi was employed not only without proper procedures but also without the required minimum qualifications.
“The incumbent applied for the job but has no degree in either of the aforementioned discipline,” said the source.

Visiting on NFRA website it shows that Makonde holds an International Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing, China.
It also indicates that he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and a Diploma in Accounting (ICAM).
“All what we want is the government through the office of the Ombudsman to help us in investigating him on how he found himself on that post because we have all the information that some DPP top people brought him here,” said the employee.
