DEDZA Police has released on bail six students from Mtendere Boys Secondary School who were arrested Saturday on suspicion that they set ablaze two school blocks.
Speaking to reporters, Dedza Deputy Police spokesperson, Cassim Manda, said the incident occurred after the school management planned to send to the ministry of education student disciplinary office charges for indiscipline.
Manda said the six students who are between the ages of 16 and 17 allegedly set the offices ablaze in an apparent attempt to destroy records of their alleged indiscipline.
This led to the arrest of the students who have henceforth been released on bail.
