The 2024 Goshen FAM Women’s Football League in the Northern Region has intensified, with Moyale Sisters and MK Academy FC now tied for the top spot. Both teams have earned 34 points after 13 games, with Moyale Sisters ahead due to a better goal difference.
Moyale Sisters, the defending champions, are facing strong competition from MK Academy, who have been equally impressive throughout the season. The race for the title is heating up, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.
Topik Sisters sit in third place with 27 points, while Ekwendeni Sisters are in fourth with 21 points. Mzuzu City Hammers Queens follow in fifth place with 20 points, maintaining a solid record in the competition.
As the league enters its 14th week, both Moyale Sisters and MK Academy have away fixtures. MK Academy will play against CY Sisters at Katoto Ground on Saturday, November 9th, while Moyale Sisters will face Green City at Kaviwale Ground on the same day.
The competition is getting fiercer as the regional finals approach. The league’s top team will take home K4 million, with K2 million for the runners-up, K1 million for third place, and K500,000 for fourth place.
This year’s league showcases the growing strength of women’s football, with teams pushing hard for the top prizes. Fans are eagerly anticipating the final rounds to see who will emerge victorious.
