Malawi’s Military Legacy explored in a Book

Retired Captain Samson James Harazi, who served in the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) from 1975 to 1999, has penned a new book on military history titled: “Malawian Soldiers and Their World Wars Reputations”.

Harazi’s 147-page book delves into the inception of the Malawian army, the recruitment process of Malawian soldiers, the formation of the Kings African Rifles, and the restructuring of Colonial Armed forces in Malawi, Kenya, and Uganda.

Additionally, the book explores the construction of Cobbe Barracks in Zomba, its origins, and the commendation of courageous soldiers, among other topics.
