Moyale Barracks FC delivered a statement performance at Mzuzu Stadium on Saturday, earning a well-deserved 2–0 triumph over league leaders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in the TNM Super League. The match hero was Lameck Mithi, whose clinical brace powered the Lions of Kaning’ina to a crucial and confidence-boosting result.
Head coach Pritchard Mwansa was greatly pleased with the performance, applauding his squad for staying focused and executing the tactical plan to perfection. He emphasized their teamwork, composure, and fighting spirit throughout the 90 minutes.

For the People’s Team, it was a day of frustration. Assistant coach Gilbert Chirwa acknowledged that Bullets created good chances but failed to convert, a lapse that ultimately handed the advantage to the home side.
Bullets introduced fresh legs in the second half, hoping to find a way back into the contest, but Moyale’s organization and discipline remained unshaken. Remarkably, the Lions completed the entire match without making a single substitution, showcasing impressive fitness and defensive stability.
The win sees Moyale Barracks climb to 10th position on 36 points after 27 games, boosting their survival mission, while Big Bullets remain at the summit with 56 points, though the defeat narrows the breathing space at the top.

Elsewhere on the day, Silver Strikers claimed a tight 1–0 win over Ekhaya FC, while Blue Eagles soared to a commanding 3–1 victory against Kamuzu Barracks as the league race continues to heat up.
