Kawale Police Station on Wednesday, December 16, 2021 takes festive security tips to Biwi business community.

The meeting was organised by leadership of Biwi Industrial Site Association, the grouping which has a membership of over eight hundred.

Speaking during the meeting, Senior Superintendent Goodwin Chigalu Sambo urged the group to be sensitive and guard their businesses jealously as the festive season is fast approaching.

“Join us in the fight against festive crime, many criminals are zealous to plunder our property so that they can enjoy Christmas from the proceeds,” Sambo said.

Further Sambo urged shop owners to observe target hardening, recruiting security guards who are energetic, and electrification of their business premises.

Taking advantage of the meeting, Sambo condemned acts of mob justice, gender based violence and defilement cases which are at an alarming rate .

He, however, disclosed that since the birth of the Biwi Industrial Association, there has been drastic reduction in serious cases within the area.

Sambo therefore assured the community of Police visibility as one of the strategies in combating crime during this season.
