Kawale Police Station on March 4, 2021 met the newly established neighborhood watches in Chilinde and Glitters where the members were drilled on how to conduct their duties.
The main focus was to impart the technical knowledge to the two neighborhood watches members before going on the ground to discharge their security duties.
Being duly commisioned by Kawale community policing branch , the two neighborhood watches were invited to attend the orientation.
The members have been drilled on the right time to embark on beat duties and tipped on the rght way to handle suspected criminals .
Supritendant Limbani Bekete who is the Operations Commander of Kawale Police Station advised the teams to refrain from taking the law into their own hands .
“We are empowering you with these skills as security captains in your areas so that there is no vaccum created even if the law enforcers are not around” said Bekete.
Be partners in crime prevention so that together we can creat Kawale free zone.” Bekete concluded.
Bekete observed that, the onset of every CPF team begins with pomp but as time goes the teams fades out gradually ,so he encouraged them to maintain the drive.
Speaking during the meeting, Sergeant Yohanne Juma tipped the members to avoid indurging themselves in criminal activities .
After the meeting the neighborhood watch members are geared to work as they have been drilled and they have promised to join hands with police to halt the breaking cases in the area
