On July 20, 2021 Kawale Police Station rekindled awareness tips to residents and business people within Kawale.
The approach started by meeting bar owners in the area in a meeting that was held at Kawale Police station base.
After having a successful meeting with bar owners, the Kawale Police top boss Mr Aubrey Kawale, Assistant Commissioner of Police charged his subordinates to take Covid-19 awareness tips to residents of Kawale through road show and whistle stops in market places and residential areas so that no one is left out.
“After this gathering we are going on a roadshow to convey the same message.” Kawale emphasised.
During the whistle stop tour, residents were informed about “operation bvala mask” which is aimed at ensuring that every body put on mask and comply to all Covid-19 prevention measures imposed by the government of Malawi in combating the spread of Covid-19.
Through the whistle stop tour the team managed to cover area 23, 24, mchesi and all road networks that connect Kawale policing area.
In all these places Kawale team shared preventive tips and warned residents that they risk arrest if found defying these measures.
“Everyone has a responsibility to stop the spread of Covid-19 disease. Wear masks, observe social distance and sanitize yourself .”
Additionally the team warned residents of mob justice, Suicide and defilement cases.
