In an effort to curb crime committed by teenagers, Kawale Community Policing branch have been jiving with awareness messages in government schools, while leaving out private schools.
On January 14, 2022 the team hit the corridors of Holly Cross Private Secondary School with various tips, to help student not to indulge in immoral practices.
During the meeting, Sub Inspector Naomi Mwakawanga warned students against early marriages.
“Never enter into an early marriage, it has alot of negative impact on your health and future” Mwakawanga lamented.
The team strongly advised the students to refrain from drugs and substance abuse .
Furthermore students were enlightened about examples of sexual abuse, such as defilement and rape cases.

Sergeant Chisomo Chilima and Sergeant Yohane Juma were part of the team .
The school headteacher, Damiano Kalajira was grateful for the visit, citing that it has given a strong foundation to the learner’s as they have been told what is wrong and what is right according to the law of the land.
