On Thursday October 21, 2021 Kawale Police Station Officer, Senior Superintendent Goodwin Chigalu Sambo led law enforcers to Gologota in Area 23 to meet chiefs, Community Policing Panel members (CPP) and block leaders in order to iron out issues on murder and other heinous crimes.
Speaking during the meeting, Sambo charged the leaders to work cohesively in combating rising cases of murder within Gogota grave yard.
“You should always take a leading role in the fight against crime, know the people in your neighbourhood,” said Sambo.
He however, warned CPP members against taking the law into their hands during the execution of their duties.
He articulated various tips with an aim of tightening up security in the area.
“Let’s change the history of Golgota by refraining from mob justice, defilement, complying to road safety rules and regulations,” emphasised Sambo.
Speaking earlier was the ward councilor for the area, Mac Tonic Ben Phiri who appreciated the strides taken by Kawale Police in responding to issues within his area.

He however, expressed worry on the rise of road accidents following influx by some Kabaza motorcycle operators who have little or no knowledge on road traffic regulations.
The CPP members were later provided with reflective vests, whistles, button sticks and torches.
They were further promised to be tailor-made trained on crime prevention.
