The out going Kawale Police Officer-in-charge, Mr Aubrey Kawale (ACP) on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 bid farewell and urged police officers to maintain the drive in the fight against crime in the area.
Kawale made the call during the farewell party held at Bremat Multipurpose hall in Mchesi to honor him as he goes to take the mantle as Blantyre Police officer in charge.
During the over night function, Kawale had to say good-bye to all officers gathered and further welcomed the transfer as a new challenge.
Kawale was grateful to officers for the cohesiveness which has seen the station registering crime decrease yearly.

Before taking seat, Kawale revived the spirits of those present with a final blessing, an advisory word to join hands and support the new officer in charge in creating Kawale crime free area.
Representing the Commissioner , Mrs Jacquelin Kainja (DCP) who is the Deputy Commissioner for CWR echoed the sentiments raised by Kawale and further urged officers to stand with the new Officer in charge as they did with the out going.
She further disclosed that during the tenure of Kawale as officer in charge of Kawale the region recognizes his positive contribution in crime fight which assisted the region in crime to reduction and they did not have problems with him.
Senior Chief Tsabango led local leaders who discribed the transfer as a loss while accepting as managerial procedure that is beyond his mandate.
“If l was given an opportunity l would not allow Kawale to leave Kawale, however go with our blessings and represent us well”Senior Chief Tsabango concluded.
