Kawale Police is keeping in custody a man over possession of Cannabis Sativa without permit.
The Suspect, identified as Alfred Chigaga, 53, got arrested on July 28, 2025.
Detectives uncovered the syndicate after being tipped by well wishers who got suspicious of him
Following the tipp-off police arrested the suspect in the comfort of his home within Kawale policing bounds of area 38.
During the search, Kawale detectives found 18 bags of 90 kilograms each in his house filled with the illicit drug.
Meanwhile, the illicit drug has been sent to Chitedze Research station for analysis.
Alfred Chigaga hails from Chioza Village Traditional Authority Nsamala in Balaka District .
