Hospital Closure Due to Lack of Funds and Materials

Chagunda Healthy Centre, located in Salima district, has been forced to shut down due to maintenance work that came to a standstill due to a shortage of materials and unpaid construction workers.

Originally slated for completion within a week, the repairs faced delays due to financial constraints and other unforeseen issues. The hospital, which endured leaks during rainfall, particularly impacting the maternity ward, now finds itself completely closed.

Urgent assistance is urgently needed to procure necessary materials and compensate construction workers, allowing the resumption of construction activities and the reopening of the facility to serve the community.
