Four people are feared dead while many others have sustained various degrees of injuries following a road accident involving a minibus and a Malawi Post Corporation (MPC) bus at Linthipe in Dedza.
The head-on-crash is said to have occurred when the minibus attempted to overtake another vehicle and bumped into the bus.
Our reporter has established that the accident has happened at Makakhula Village close to Linthipe 2 Bridge.
Eyewitnesses have told MBC that the Post Office bus was coming from Dedza direction while the minibus was coming from Lilongwe.
The eyewitnesses said upon arrival at the scene of the accident, the minibus collided with the bus head-on and overturned.
Dedza Deputy Publicist, Cassim Manda, could not immediately give out more details since the police are still investigating.
Meanwhile, Dedza District Hospital has not disclosed how many people have died from the accident
