Days after they were confirmed of elite league promotion from the Central region, Extreme FC have all it takes to smile as they have also won Chipiku Premier division league 2022 season.
This comes after Wimbe United FC who lost to Extreme FC 0-2 on Sunday at Dimba ground, held Silver Strikers Reserve FC 1-1 at Kasungu Stadium on Wednesday 1st February, 2023.
Jeremiah Phiri scored for the host while Akuzike Lifa was on target for the visitors Silver Strikers RSV FC.
The Young bankers had all chances to win the championship as they were having two games advantage. If they had won the two games they could have taken their tally to 18 points and tied with Extreme FC.
With the Silver’s draw on Wednesday, it means now no any other team can catch or overtake Extreme FC at 18 points.
Therefore,let the world know that,Waliranji based outfit Extreme FC are the 2022 Chipiku Premier Division league champions and also becomes the first team from Mchinji to qualify into the TNM Superleague.
Mchinji Boma Stars then called Robson United came closer in 2004-2005 season but finished on third position, Extreme FC finished as runners up in 2021 season to Dedza Dynamos FC.
The other game on Wednesday, saw LUANAR FC dropping points again as they drew 1-1 against Mbabzi United FC,Ephraim Phiri scored for LUANAR FC and Mike Mchawa scored for Mbabvi, their 8th draw of the season.
Extreme FC have 18 points from 9 games,seconded by Wimbe United FC with 14 points from 10 games,Silver are on third with 13 points from 9 games,LUANAR are on fourth with 10 points from 9 games while Mbabvi United FC are sitting on position 5 with 8 points from 10 games,anchoring the table are Support Battalion FC with 7 points from 9 games.
The season will be coming to end this coming weekend, when Extreme FC play against LUANAR FC while Silver Strikers RSV FC will complete the season against Support Battalion FC.
