The Patricia Kaliati Foundation (PAK), a noteworthy NGO situated in Mulanje, has taken a resolute stride towards enhancing education by inaugurating a compelling ‘Back to School’ campaign within the jurisdiction of Traditional Authority Juma in Mulanje district.
During a noteworthy event held on Thursday, PAK united its efforts with the Lukalazi Development Foundation, an organization headquartered in Mzuzu. Together, they extended crucial support to the local community, ensuring that 1000 children were provided with essential school uniforms, shoes, and nutritional Likuni phala.
Motivated by deep concern, Patricia Kaliati, Director of PAK Foundation and also holding the position of Secretary General of UTM, articulated her distress over the escalating rate of school dropouts within the area. This disturbing trend, she observed, was primarily attributed to the grip of poverty. As a powerful response, the ‘Back to School’ initiative was thoughtfully launched to decisively address this pressing challenge.
In a united call to action, both Patricia Kaliati and Omega Kaunda, the driving force behind the Lukalazi Development Foundation, issued a compelling plea to parents. They wholeheartedly encouraged parents to play an active and inspiring role in nurturing their children’s educational aspirations, motivating them to relentlessly pursue academic excellence through unwavering dedication to their studies.
