COVID-19 AFFECTS SOME PRIMARY SCHOOLS

COVID-19 has made some primary schools to be desperate when it comes to learning and teaching materials, as classes are split into two or more, depending on the number of learners.

Avant Publications conducted a random interview and managed to speak with administrations for Msalura, Ntchentche and Chigombe schools.

All of them have pointed out that portable chalk boards are desperately needed to make teaching and learning easier.

β€œIt is the current situation. Streaming of classes due to Covid 19 has led the teachers to resort to usage of what has been close as means of managing classes” explained one of the teachers.

Since there is a big need of learning and teaching materials, Avant Publications would like to encourage school administrations to utilize their school funds correctly.

Contributions made by learners can assist in minimizing some of these problems, without waiting for the government to provide everything.
